Volunteer Work

Here is a list of most of the volunteer work that I have participated in:

  • Work at my church, Faith Community Lutheran Church, running the video production unit once a month for services. Started 8th grade and continued until today. 3-4 hours on Saturday, 5 hours on Sunday, one weekend out of the month.
  • Worked at the church, planning and running the lights for a week for a play
  • Worked at the Youth Corps (paid)
  • Volunteered to help for Gary Macpherson (Hard, outdoor and indoor home improvement work). He is paraplegic. Some was paid, other parts were volunteered.
  • Tutored a student (Lachlan Quintana) in math
  • Ran the lights in my high school’s version of “Our Town” 9th grade
  • Was in the play “You Can’t Take it With You” 10th grade
  • Was in the musical “Guys and Dolls” 10th grade
  • Was in the Shakespearean comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” 11th Grade
  • Was in the “Madrigal” 10th grade (Royal Court)
  • Was in the “Madrigal” 11th grade (Choir and play)
  • Was in the Musical “Fiddler on the Roof” 11th grade
  • Participated in multiple concerts and festivals (Choir)
  • Participated in multiple concerts and performances (Band)
  • Worked at the BINGO house as a floater on September 21st (Paid), October 13th(Paid), October 27th(Paid), and November 30th (Volunteered)
  • In the program MESA
  • In the program NHS
  • Shot a scene and edited a semi-professional movie called Enameled (Derek Herman)
  • Helped shoot three films for a friend. One was used in for a brief overview of Weld County, another was for a college-level video production course, and the third was a short film that we submitted to the Mead High School First Annual Film Festival
  • Participated in the “cover the night” event for Kony 2012
  • Lobbied with Cory Gardner about Kony 2012
  • In the robotics club, I:

o   Ran concessions at several events and demonstrations

o   Helped build robots

o   Helped drive robots

o   Delivered EFAA food bags to families in need (December 2013)
